MEASURE INSTRUCTIONS

Blinds may be mounted inside or outside the window casing. Be sure to measure your windows carefully using a metal or wooden ruler, or steel tape.

Inside Mount:

Inside mount blinds and shades are installed inside the window casing.

Measure the exact inside width of window casing from one inside edge to the other in three different places (top, middle and bottom) and record the narrowest measurement.

Measure the exact height in three different places (left, middle and right) from top edge of opening to to top of sill and record the shortest measurement.

Deduct 1/4" from the inside measured width and 1/4" from the inside measured height/length.

This will be your blind size to order. If you are not sure how to deduct, write that your sizes are Windows Sizes, so the factory can take the deductions for you.

Outside Mount:

Outside mount blinds are installed outside the window casing and can cover an area larger than the window itself.

Measure the exact width to be covered. Measure exact height to be covered, including desire overlap.

Inside Mounting: One bracket should be positioned about 2" to 6" from each end of the head rail. For wider shades that require 3 or 4 brackets, these should be spaced evenly between the two outermost brackets.

Attach each bracket to the inner top of the window opening using the screws.

Pre-drill the screw holes using a 5/64" drill bit.

The wall brackets are not used for inside mounts.

For flush inside mounts, attach the brackets to the head rail first, and then position the shade in the window opening as desired. Then make pencil marks at the back of each bracket. Remove the brackets by pressing on the plastic tab. Align the brackets with the pencil marks, and then screw them in place as described above.
